Upon entering black tie BY LORI, you will begin tuxedo 101 where different options and formalwear “dos and don’ts” will be demonstrated. If you are the groom or are purchasing formalwear, we will pull different items for you to try on and consider. If needed, colors and styles can be compared with your wedding party’s bridesmaids dress or the wedding gown.
For your in town attendants and guests, black tie BY LORI prefers to perform the measurements to ensure the best possible fit. Out of town groomsmen? No problem. They can go to a formalwear shop in their area to be measured then call, email, or fax the measurements into black tie BY LORI directly. Click on the out-of-town measurements form for the required measurements.
When renting a tuxedo you generally pick up two days prior to your event. At this time, the groom or groomsmen will try everything on and any custom tailoring will be done while you wait. If any garment fits incorrectly, it will be switched out for the correct garment. If you have purchased, not rented, your attire, then we will mark the garments for custom tailoring whenever it is most convenient for you. It generally takes purchased garments one to two weeks to complete custom tailoring. Rush custom tailoring are available at an extra charge.
