Emily and Chris
For their May 8, 2010, wedding, Emily Henry and Chris Tabb knew the exact location for their special day: Wolf Mountain Vineyards and Winery in Dahlonega. “We met there several times with Chris’ family, and it was always so beautiful every time we were there,” Emily says. In fact, she drew inspiration from the setting for her wedding party attire, with her bridesmaids outfitted in sleeveless, knee-length Jim Hjelm dresses in a rich plum/wine.
As for her own wedding gown, Emily worked with the staff at Bridals by Lori to find her dream dress. “I went to Bridals by Lori because they have such a variety of dresses, and I found my dress there,” Emily says. “I shopped some other stores, but nothing compared to this dress and I had to have it!” That must-have dress turned out to be a strapless Rivini gown featuring beautiful embroidery and embellishments at the waist and on the back hemline of the skirt. “I loved the bling it had around the bodice!” Emily says. Another wedding-day aspect Emily loved was her flowers, created by Corrine Siegel of La Petite Fleur. “I knew I had an incredible florist, but I had no idea my flowers were going to end up as beautiful as they did,” Emily says. “The minute we drove into Wolf Mountain, I got out of the car, and Corrine was standing here with my flowers, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. They were exactly what I wanted and so gorgeous.”
However, for both Emily and Chris, their most memorable wedding moment came at the reception during the couple’s first dance as husband and wife. Their chosen song? “Want To” by Sugarland. “We were friends before we started dating, and this song has always meant a lot to us as a couple,” Emily says. “It was surreal being there with all of our friends–most of which were crying when the song came on–and the sun was setting. It was just a really special moment.”
In the end, Emily and Chris’ wedding truly was a dream come true. “We could not have asked for better weather,” Emily says. “All of our vendors did an incredible job to make sure the day was absolutely perfect for us! We look back at pictures now and just melt! It was perfect!”
